Internet Research Strategies (Part 1)

Objective: To utilize effective search strategies that allow you sort through more succinct information quickly.

Description: Participants will be able to incorporate streamlined internet search techniques in their lesson planning and classroom instruction. New search techniques will be introduced. After completing this workshop participants will gain additional knowledge in accessing information on the World Wide Web.

Advice for Implementation: By using search strategies I am able to find answers to specific questions quickly. When searching only use the key points in your search. Only use Nouns, Verbs, and Adjectives. You should not phrase your search in terms of a question? DON'T type: What is the capital of Massachusetts? TYPE: Capital Massachusetts.
