The Surprising Simplicity of Schoology Quizzes
Objective: To learn how to make quick, formative digital assessments using Schoology
Description: In this session, participants will create their first Schoology test. Teachers will design a variety of question types, including Multiple Choice, Fill in the Blank, True/ False, Short Answer, Ordering and Matching. Test items can be mapped to MA State Standards, providing important data for general and special educators. Teachers will consider test settings such as enable/disable, resumable, # submissions and score sort options. Other areas to explore include font size, color and type, inserting images, creating tables, embedding video, and using MathType equations.
Schoology tests are one of the most convenient and powerful features of Schoology. Students receive an instant score and may have the option to retake an assessment. Teachers can view individual student answers, as well as identify overall class trends for questions and standards.
Advice for Implementation: Come to the session with a paper version of a test or quiz that you would like to digitize using a Schoology™ test/quiz.
