ADHD and Sensory Integration

Description: Non-medicated interventions for children with ADHD and Sensory Processing Challenges will provide educators with simple research- based techniques to help students and teachers develop self-awareness, mental focus, and inner calm. This program will look at how the brain manages stress and regulates emotions. It will provide the educator with a series of composed breathing, stretching, relaxation and focusing techniques that can be implemented in three minutes or less to create a more mindful classroom climate. There will be a strong emphasis on the impact that play, rhythm and nature has on our development. "Your body changes your mind. Your mind changes behavior. Your behavior changes outcomes." - Amy Cuddy
