You Have Died of Dysentery: Effective Use of Games in 21st Century Learning
Objective: Those in the workshop will walk away with a minimum of 3-5 different games and websites that they can use immediately in their classroom to help student engagement and access to the curriculum.
Description: This will be a quick presentation and exploration of some of the games and websites educators can use to enhance access to curriculum, such as Kahoot!, Prodigy Math, Free Rice, and others.
Student engagement has increased and student scores have increased. Additionally, it is a fun way for students to demonstrate knowledge of a given content area.
Advice for Implementation: Don't be afraid to try it, get feedback from the students, and continue to improve upon it.
